Hi I'm Sara, founder of Ginibee
After being made redundant just before my second child was born, I was really surprised at how limited the options were for me to progress my career and have enough time to spend with my family. I soon realised that I wasn't on my own, there are so many people who would benefit from more career choices that would allow them to balance their career with other life priorities.
Before having my children, I'd had 15 years experience in Commercial Management and an MBA, so I wanted to make use of my skills and experience to make a difference to an organisation. I also wanted to spend valuable and finite time with my children in their early years.
I found that part-time opportunities weren't available in the type of roles I was looking for, but there were plenty of opportunities if I were able to offer full-time. It's understandable that roles can't always be scaled down to be part-time, so we need another mainstream solution. I realised that Jobshare partnerships are the win-win for organisations and employees in terms of advancing part-time careers at a senior level. All I needed was to find a Jobshare partner. Since there was no other platform to help proactive people create successful Jobshare partnerships, I set up Ginibee to help people like me achieve their perfect life balance, because you only get one go at life and you should be able to make it work for you now!
During my career I have successfully recruited, restructured and performance managed teams as well as studied what makes us want to learn from each other or hoard information during my MBA. I have also experienced Jobsharing in both full-time and part-time roles. So, I have taken my experience to further research and develop a platform for organisations aiming to achieve a diverse workforce by attracting new talent and retaining and advancing senior level employees who need to reduce their hours.
Ginibee also helps proactive people who want to meet a Jobshare partner, by creating a structured programme to meet and match other like minded people.

Ginibee was lucky enough to be selected as one of only 11 businesses to be part of a Social Incubator programme in the East of England. Check out what they have to say.
